The Miami Dolphins are members of the AFC East Division. Located in Miami Gardens, Florida, the team’s home field is Sun Life Stadium. Originally started in 1966 as an expansion team, they joined the NFL after its 1970 merger with the AFL. While many teams experienced an interruption in their playing successes after the 1970 merger, the Fins experienced no such problems. Instead, the Dolphins sustained success throughout the 1970s, leading them to be the first team to advance to the Super Bowl in three consecutive seasons. The team’s plethora of firsts has created a high demand for Miami Dolphins tickets.
By 1972 the Dolphins achieved the NFL’s only perfect season, winning every regular season game, two playoff games and Super Bowl VII. As professional sports dictate, the Miami Dolphins meet their rivals on the level in their division from the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets to the New England Patriots. The Miami Dolphins have earned several division and conference championship victories, made several playoff showings and continue to reach towards their next Super Bowl title. |
