The NHL^® is divided into two unique conferences around the United States as well as Canada. Each conference consists of three - five team divisions. The NHL^® was founded in 1917 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and only consisted of five teams. As of today, the NHL^® holds 30 teams total with 23 based in the United States and seven located in Canada. From LA to Montreal, there promises to be some great hockey near you.
